Associate Professor Marcelo Paixão will discuss his current research project at African and African Diaspora Studies (AADS) and LLILAS, including a general analysis of the current Latin American sociopolitical scenario, why ethnic and racial relations and inequalities matter in the region, the importance of social indicators disaggregated by minorities groups, and future research he plans to carry out at The University of Texas at Austin.
