Get Involved: Little Free Library ATX

DSC03125

Little Free Library ATX is a grassroots literacy movement and project of the sharing economy, that took off in Austin, rapidly but quietly. There are dozens of branches, throughout each and every neighborhood, and LFL would like to see deeper engagement and stewardship among all Austinites - let alone those who hold a charter.

Take a self-guided tour of the LFL network, using this shared access Google Map; and snap photos of yourself taking a book/leaving a book, or otherwise enacting community.

These photos can be submitted by private message to the Facebook page, or by emailing kaylamkennett@gmail.com, and should include LFL address information.

Also, if any local maker babes with woodworking skills have an interest in designing, or teaching to design LFLs in an Austin-exclusive aesthetic, contact kaylamkennett@gmail.com! The intimidation factor of making a tiny library is what keeps the movement from growing, and Kayla would love to provide them locally at an affordable cost.
