Woman's Way Business Awards

Austin Woman magazine is officially accepting nominations for the 2nd Annual Woman’s Way Business Awards, the only business awards for woman-owned and -led businesses in Austin.

Last year, 12 local female business leaders were recognized out of more than 200 applicants. Among the winners were Maggie Louise Wickes of Maggie Louise Confections, Loren Thomas of Tribe + Glory, Juanita Budd of Austin Free-Net, Stephanie Hansen of Bravelets and Carol Dochen of Carol Dochen Realtors, who received the Woman of the Year award.

“Businesses led by women continue to drive our economy in Austin and throughout the country,” said Austin Woman magazine owner and publisher Melinda Garvey. “Our sole mission as an organization is to support women, and we’re looking forward to our second year of celebrating the valuable contributions of the many inspirational women in the Austin business community.”

Awards will be given in multiple categories for woman-owned and -led businesses as well as for the coveted Woman of the Year award. All nominees must be based in Austin and/or have a significant portion of operations and staff located in Austin. Nominations are due by Friday, March 3. Finalists will be announced Thursday, April 6. Winners will be announced Thursday, May 4 at the J.W. Marriott downtown during the Woman’s Way Business Awards, underwritten in part by Dell Technologies.

Winners will be selected by a selection committee comprising some of Austin’s most renowned female business and community leaders.
