Austin Celebration of Hope Committee Meeting Benefiting the American Cancer Society

Unfortunately, it's becoming more and more common today for every person to somehow be touched by cancer. But we have the power to stop it or at least make it better for those who are fighting the disease. Please join The American Cancer Society in their mission as they band together to help those Austinites in their battle with cancer by joining the committee or becoming a sponsor!

In 2017, their Celebration of Hope gala is themed, Adventures in Austinlandto embrace the essence of our community and will be held on Saturday, September 16. Austin is all about people. We celebrate the weird, quirky, creative and unique aspects of all of the people within our community and most importantly - we support them.

The profits of the gala will be used to help people stay well, get well, find cures, and fight back. The American Cancer Society provides many services to cancer patients locally including free rides to and from life-saving treatments, workshops to empower women to feel better about themselves during and after treatment, and continuing to fund $406 million dollars in research and over $3 million in the Austin area. You may also be interested to know that the American Cancer Society has funded 47 researchers that have gone on to win the Nobel Prize!
