The 85th Legislative Session and Its Impact

Please come out July 20th for a panel discussion to assess and discuss the 85th legislative session and its impact on vulnerable populations in Texas! This year, multiple bills were debated and passed at the 85th Legislature affecting women, people of color, and vulnerable children across the state. Get the low-down on what happened this session with the YWCA and our partners.

Things that will be discussed include the laws and policies impacting LBGTQ rights, foster children, immigrants, and reproductive healthcare access. Experts will also share what you can do after state lawmakers have gone home to make sure your voice is heard. Panelists will include Sarah Crockett, Zenen Jaime Perez, and Alice Bufkin!
