Every Friday, we send out a community newsletter featuring events, job opportunities and news items from women and non-binary folks in our Austin-local community, curated by one of our committee members and/or our News Coordinator. It’s free to submit and free to subscribe, whether you’ve made it out to a program of ours or not. Sign up for the community newsletter below.

To have events and information featured in our community newsletter, here’s what you’ve got to do:

  1. In order to be considered for our community newsletter, you must submit your inquiry here. We accept submissions of all kinds—from job listings, to event information, to protest notices, to business launches, etc.

  2. Once you have submitted to our news form, a #BBATX committee member will be in touch if we can feature it. We receive hundreds of requests per month, and can only share six to eight news items per week.

  3. A few things you should know:

    • This newsletter is a collection of news items from our collaborators, partners and members of the community, and they’re selected in accordance with the nonprofit’s mission and goals each week.

    • We prioritize the voices of women and non-binary folks; if you do not identify as either, you are still welcome to submit.

    • We allow businesses to introduce themselves to the community once (like, "Hey, I just started a woman-owned ice cream shop! Come hang," or "I'm trying to launch my own social media business. Hit me up if you'd like to chat!"), but we do not allow recurring service/product/business advertisements.

    • All submissions should be written in the third person, include an image and an event link or contact information.

    • All submissions are edited and compiled by our committee member or Community News Coordinator, and we select six to eight events/news items for the newsletter. Placement in the newsletter cannot be purchased and these features are left to our coordinator's discretion; we reserve the right to refuse a posting if it does not comply with our guidelines or values as an organization.

    • It is very unlikely your submission will be promoted via the community newsletter twice.
