Sept. 24th - The MBASA Introduces "How to Build a Business & Build a Good Life" An Evening With Joah Spearman
Joah Spearman will be presenting St. Edward's University MBA Student Association's first guest speaking event of the year titled, "How to Build a Business & Build a Good Life."
Mr. Spearman is the co-founder and CEO of Localeur. Localeur’s mission is to make it possible for people to experience local wherever they are, whether it’s their home city or a city they’ve never visited.
Localeur does this by building a community of locals who share authentic recommendations on their favorite places to eat, drink and play. Unlike sites like Yelp, Localeur relies exclusively on locals and curate recommendations rather than aggregate reviews.
Prior to Localeur, Mr Spearman worked as director of operations and later director of travel market strategy for tech startup, Bazaarvoice.
Spearman has also worked as a style contributor for The Huffington Post, co-founded style segmants for SXSW and ESPN X Games, and served as a board member for various companies and organizations.
This event will be held on Campus at Carter Auditorium on Thursday, 9/24/2015 between 7:30PM -9PM. Light refreshments will be served. St. Edwards requires visitor passes for parking. Please consider carpooling, Uber or Lyft. Check out the Facebook event page for more information.
