Dec. 16th - Zine Making with Austin School of Film & Sherwood Forest Zine Library

Join the Austin School of Film in partnership with Sherwood Forest Zine Library for an evening of zine-making, hot apple cider and treats. Not sure what a zine is? No worries! Members of the Sherwood Forest Zine Library will be there to show you what to do and guide you in creating your very own zine about whatever you'd like. ASoF will be offering $5 off to anyone who brings 2 food items to be donated to the Austin Food Bank. ASoF will also be offering $10 off our membership fees if you bring 5 food items to be donated to the Austin Food Bank. ASoF will be hosting the food collection drive from December 9th - 16th. You are welcome to come by and drop off food the entire week! Their goal is to fill at least 4 boxes for the Austin Food Bank.

Who Should Attend: Anyone interested in learning, making and creating their own zine. Anyone interested in art, collaging, zine and DIY culture. Supplies: All supplies included but feel free to bring your favorite paper, magazines, and art supplies you'd like to use. Sharing is encouraged. About Sherwood Forest Zine Library: The Sherwood Forest Zine Library is a fully functioning independent media library focusing on zines and DIY culture. Our library is a membership based space and runs like a regular library. Membership is free and members are allowed to check out zines or hang out during library hours to browse through the collection, read, or work on their own zines. The majority of our collection has been donated via collectors or the zine artists themselves. Occasionally, we purchase specific zines through various distros. We host a variety of independent media from self published books and magazines to small run or independent publishings and newspapers. SIGN UP HERE. Please contact if you would like assistance with tuition or to reserve your spot and pay the day-of the workshop.
