Youth Rise Texas uplifts young people harmed by criminalization and deportation so that they may heal, take action, and cultivate compassionate community. Youth Rise is looking to fill all board positions.

Primary Age of Population Served: Youth (0-17 years)
Financial Contribution Expected of Board Members: 1. Give or get a personally significant amount annually. For some this may be $500, for others it may be $5,000. 2. Supporting organizational fundraising efforts through personal asks and introductions 3. Collectively raising 5% of the organization\'s annual budget
Designed Term for Board Service: Two years
Current Schedule for Board Meetings: Bi-monthly in 2018 (August, October, December); Quarterly in 2019 and beyond (January, April, July, October).
Describe your Board culture: This is Youth Rise Texas\' inaugural board of directors, and we welcome those who wish to partner with our youth members and staff to serve our mission. Our culture is "Eyes on, Hands off" - meaning that our board supports our Executive Director with organizational growth, oversight, and fund development while trusting the Youth Rise Texas staff and members to excel in leading the day-to-day work and strategy.
Additional Board Expectations: Board members should expect to: 1. Give 3-5 hours per month to support Youth Rise Texas 2. Attend at least 70% of all board meetings. 3. Attend for the duration of each board meeting
