Community Advocacy and Healing Project
Community Advocacy and Healing Project (CAAHP) presents its inaugural Rooted in Healing for People of the Global Majority. An experience grounded in knowledge sharing, healing, and culturally appropriate treatment. This Experience was created because people of the global majority work tirelessly to combat the trauma inflicted by systemic oppression. Finding culturally appropriate and trauma free healing techniques isn’t easily accessible for people of the global majority. Rooted in Healing is an Experience on Saturday, October 20th from 9 am to 5pm, where people of the global majority, and those who co-conspire with people of the global majority, can learn about various healing techniques by people of the global majority.
CAAHP is a 501 c(3) rooted in human centered, culturally proficient, and trauma informed advocacy and healing experiences for people systematically oppressed and ostracized. We plant ourselves in the heart of communities systematically oppressed and ostracized through creating experiences that share knowledge and cultivate healing for beautiful beings working within systems, traumatized by those systems, and advocating for change even when seeking care.
CAAHP would like to collaborate with people of the global majority to cultivate healing experiences intentionally focused on the mind, body, and/or spirit for Rooted in Healing. Rooted in Healing is on Saturday, October 20th, from 9am to 5pm at the Austin Community College at Eastview. We would like to invite you to participate as a Guide of a healing experience, and/or aid us in recruiting Guides.
