Audrey & Daisy Film Screening

*TRIGGER WARNING: discussion of sexual assault and suicide*

AUDRIE & DAISY is an urgent real-life drama that examines the ripple effects on families, friends, schools and communities when two underage young women find that sexual assault crimes against them have been caught on camera. AUDRIE & DAISY — which made its world premiere at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival — takes a hard look at American’s teenagers who are coming of age in this new world of social media bullying, spun wildly out of control.

SafePlace and Austin Healthy Adolescent (AHA) Program are joining together to present two screenings of AUDRIE & DAISY:

Wednesday, November 30 from 12-2PM
Thursday, December 1 from 6-8PM.

The 95-minute film will be followed with a 30-minute discussion led by community leaders. The screenings will be held in the SafePlace Community Room.

The event is free and open to the public. The screenings are intended for adult audiences but older teenagers are welcome to attend.
