We've partnered with the Elisabet Ney Museum to present MEET HER HANDS, a new summer evening series featuring an intimate tour of the museum and a discussion with Austin women artists about their work, their inspiration, and their hands—their process. The events will be outside on the banks of Waller Creek, the location of Elisabet Ney’s famous and (her)storic salons.
On June 30, we'll feature artist Christina Coleman, whose work comments on gender and race through a variety of media, often using beauty and hair products in concert with more conventional materials.
*In case of inclement weather, the events will move inside. Work from the artists will be on display during the events. Refreshments will be served.
Free + open to the public. No RSVP required: https://www.facebook.com/events/800079563461491/
