— ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP —

Join us on October 20 from 2 to 4 PM at The Commune ATX’s Annex studio to create your own ceramic vessel—perfect for pet water bowls, as a catch-all for your keys or more. During this craftHER Market workshop, ceramicist and craft artist Sequoyah Johnson will lead you through the steps of creating your own ceramic dish. Held in partnership with The Commune, this afternoon workshop is open to all skill levels.

FROM THE WORKSHOP HOST, SEQUOYAH JOHNSON: Animal lovers, you are in for a treat! Learn how to make a custom ceramic pet bowl for your furry, fluffy, or slithery pet, with Sequoyah Johnson, creator of The Coy Collection. During this workshop, we will be using slab techniques to build your one of a kind pet bowl. You’ll be able to customize the finish, choosing from a selection of colorful underglazes.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Introduction + clay overview

  • Step-by-step instructions for creating your pet bowl

  • Add designs + overglaze

WHAT YOU WILL CREATE:

  • One food or water bowl ready to be used by your favorite furry, feathered or scaly friend!

At the end of the workshop, your masterpiece will be fired off-site and ready to pick up from the #BBATX headquarters in about three weeks. You will receive a reminder email and picture when pieces are complete and ready for pick up.
