GivingTuesdayNow: A Fundraiser For BBATX

For 24 hours on Tuesday, May 5, we’ll be fundraising to continue doing what we do best: create resilient communities invested in gender equality, creativity and inclusion. You can help us show up for the thousands of women and nonbinary creatives, small business owners and leaders in our programs
by spreading the word or making a donation.

WHY ARE WE FUNDRAISING?

Since March, we’ve gone virtual and hosted hundreds in our programs, but even still, we’ve lost 75% of our typical revenue due to COVID-19 closures. With your support, we can:

  • Cover our monthly rent: $1350

  • Cover our monthly subcontractor costs to keep our programs alive: $6500

  • Cover our monthly administrative costs for technology + web hosting: $1,000

  • Cover the cost of our paid opportunities for women and nonbinary creatives and small businesses: $7000

  • Cover the hard costs of supplies and materials to produce our programs and provide services: $5000

MEET THE PRODUCERS:

About bbatx (#bossbabesATX)We’re a Texas-based nonprofit that amplifies and connects women and nonbinary creatives, entrepreneurs and community leaders. We believe that representation, education and intersectionality make for more resilient leaders and communities. We create spaces to share our crafts, find collaborators, learn new skills, seek guidance and provide each other with practical and emotional resources. Anyone interested in our mission, core values, and initiatives are invited to participate—and learn more about how intersectional gender equality can improve their daily lives. We provide 1500 opportunities to women and nonbinary creatives, entrepreneurs and community organizers per year. More than 20,000 community members also annually attend our showcases, markets and dialogues—so, whether you apply to participate in one of our programs, attend our workshops, conferences and dialogues, or come out to a festival or market to support the community we’re building, you’re a member of this movement. All babes, all people, are welcome. :) Learn more at bossbabes.org.
