The signal-to-noise ratio during SXSW is pretty low, huh?

To help, we've narrowed it down to a list of our top picks for both Interactive and Music events. The following events are unofficial, subject to free RSVP and unless indicated have not been produced by us. This list will be updated over the coming weeks, so feel free to bookmark it and check back.

SATURDAY, MARCH 19

Hip Hop Theatre for Hip Hop 4 Flint SXSW ATX Fundraiser β€” The organizers say it best: "The Austin, Texas arm of #hiphop4flint has been tasked with raising $2000+ of the $80,000 to be raised by 46 cities globally on March 19th, 2016. This will provide water filtration systems for 500 homes in Flint, MI. In April 2014, while the city was under the control of a state appointed emergency manager, their water became contaminated. The toxic water in Flint has made the water undrinkable and put the entire city in a state of emergency. The contaminated water hit the children of Flint the hardest. Some have experienced permanent and devastating health defects from lead poisoning. Over 42 cities are gathering leaders, youth, and supporters in the hipΒhop community to host an event to collect monetary donations to purchase water filters and receive donated filters to be delivered to Flint. The strength that hipΒhop encompasses will bring together the community like no other, because hipΒhop is UNIVERSAL!" Can't make it? Donate here.
